Hi, I have two issues:
First, I have the Single image setting in MP set to “Original” but when I upload and view the single image it is only displaying large.
<img src="https://i2.wp.com/rodconnect.com/wp-content/uploads/mediapress/members/1/522/IMG_8513.jpg?w=525&ssl=1" alt="IMG_8513" class="mpp-large" data-recalc-dims="1"/>
Ideally, I want to either see the image in original or be able to click on it and see the original sized image. I have confirmed that my settings under MP >> Settings >> General >> Image size for single media page. is set to “Original”
Secondly, I’m using your MPP Social Share from github and when I share to Twitter, it’s displaying an image that is very blurry/granular. Please see example at https://twitter.com/rodconnect_com/status/979123938469994496
Please note, I’m using Yoast SEO on my site as well.
Thank you
Hi Jon,
That was a bug for single media page.
I have put a fix
https://github.com/buddydev/mediapress/commit/dc015a578de4335eec84b8ac3d8b0f97e710f25bIt will be available in 1.3.6 release.
For the share card, twitter provides us an API for that using the meta tags.
https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/tweets/optimize-with-cards/guides/getting-started
So, using card is possible and I will ask my team to look and explore when they can add it.
Thank you
BrajeshI was able to disable all my sharing and downgrade MPP Social Share to the older version. It works as expected, twitter cards are displaying images that are not blurry or fuzzy.
For now, I’ve disabled lightbox in lieu of being able to share twitter cards until you have a chance to resolve this.
Thank you.
Hi Jon,
It seems some change sin our last update caused it. I am planning to have the plugin officially available form BuddyDev next week, so I(or my team) will look into the card issue and will have the fix before the release.Thank you
Brajesh
