MPP upload buttons as well for commenting?

    Hello,

    the Mediapress upload buttons do not appear on comments and replies on Buddypress user timelines, right?

    Is this a theme based functionality or do you have a clue how this could be achieved that users can upload pics and vids as well when commenting to posts?

    Hi Daniel,
    Thank you for the question.
    We don’t have the ability to add button on the currnetly released version.

    You can download it another version from here.
    https://github.com/buddydev/mediapress

    It does support the ability to add comments.

    Hi Brajesh,

    Thanks a lot for the link, I have tested the github version on the staging site and it works, that’s pretty cool!

    The only question I have is how to install the github version properly on the live website in order that the website will not crash?

    Can I just deactivate and delete the existing version and then upload the github version and it will cause no issues with all the many medias that were uploaded to Mediapress through the years?

    Yes, Please deactivate/remove the old plugin and then install/activate the new one.

    Hi Brajesh,

    Sorry to come back but I realized that only admin can go to another user profile and upload media when commentin on a user’s post, but the subscriber roles cannot upload media on comments, only on their own posts they can upload media on comments but not on other users posts.

    Do I need to manage this on Mediapress Dashboard? I cannot find the settings.

    Hi Chris,
    I am sorry but I am not sure I understand it properly.

    1. BuddyPress does not allow adding posts on other user’s profile, how are you doing it? We support the default BuddyPress implementation.

    Isn’t it expected for a user to upload on their own post/comment?
