Hi Buddydev,
In the past I’ve had issues with problem signups. My plugin / feature request is to block disposable emails.
Here are some useful resources in my opinion:
https://www.block-disposable-email.com
https://www.block-disposable-email.com/cms/help-and-usage/json-based-api/The following image shows one way this could appear to the spam registrant:

Hope you like the idea. Cheers.
Hi Mike,
Thank you for the suggestion. This is a great idea and I am going to look into it in more details in near future. We need a free API or something similar. It may take some time before we can start with it though.

BrajeshGreat. I’m not in a hurry yet, as usual 🙂
The service I showed you is free up to 200 queries per month, so it could still be an option. I was thinking this would be enough for me but then I realised I get between 150 and 250 new members per month and there are probably quite a few abandoned signups too. I didn’t read enough to know whether every signup sends a query to the API, I expect it does.
I’ll try to find out if there are some free APIs too.
I looked at the Ban Hammer wordpress plugin but seems I have to maintain my own block list and it would be good to have something more automated I reckon.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for sharing your perspective.Since we plan to release it as WordPress plugin, we need the service where limits are atleast a few 100 per day before going paid.
Since you are moving to BuddyPress, You will find soon that the number of spam user registration increase(there are solution to protect against boat) if you don’t use a proper boat protection plugin.
That’s why I am going to look for a free service(please do share if you find one) or we can put one on our own using public list of available DEA sites.
Regards
Brajesh
