Tagged: profile fields admin
Hello!
I have created 10 profile fields that I’m going to fill with data for my users.
However, I only want 6 of these to be visible on the front end for the users to edit on their profile page, and the rest only for administration purposes.
I have setup several Member Types and made some only available to users, but then all the other fields that I need for admin purposes also dissapear – which I don’t want.
How do I keep all fields visible for admin but not for users on the front end? Is there native functionality for this or do I need a plugin?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Hi Fabian,
Welcome to BuddyDev support forums.1. Please avoid scoping the fields to member types. That will make it unavailable.
2. Instead you can use visibility for this. Here is a plugin that extends field visibility(on create/edit profile field)
https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-admin-only-profile-fields/That should help you get it working.

BrajeshHi Fabian,
I did check the plugin and it seems to be working fine(atleast the settings part) with latest version of BuddyPress. Please give it a try.

BrajeshYou are welcome!
I am glad it worked!Regards
