Tagged: prominent descriptions
This new site I have added Mediapress to, it’s an archaeological site and as such the photo descriptions that accompany each image are very important yet with Mediapress you appear to have hidden these unless someone goes to edit view.
How can I fix this? Could there be a gallery setting for descriptions to be prominent and if so they are displayed above the comments?
It apps such as Facebook the description is prominent why not Mediapress?
Please let me check how it looks on facebook and will have the same.
It can be easily enabled with a few lines of code without touching MediaPress templates. Going to see it on fb and then will have something similar with settings to enable/disable.
I removed it in last major update to have simple/better grids. But I believe displaying it on single page is no harm.
On FB, when you upload an image, there is a box inviting you to say something about it. In there you can add urls etc as well as the description of the image, this is displayed with the image as standard when it is shared etc, even clicking on the image to expand it will show that description.
Added now. The description and uploader will always be visible in lightbox.
you can enable/disable the description for gallery/media single pages by visiting MediaPress->Settings->Theme
under the Display settings section. By default, it is disabled. Please visit Settings->THemes tab and try enabling it. After that it will be available on single media and single gallery page.
On single media page it is shown at the bottom while on single gallery page it will be shown at the top by default.
There is no recommendation.
A lightbox is included with the plugin that can be enabled/disabled from Themes settings panel.Thank you for marking as resolved.
