Hi Brajesh,
When I installed MediaPress originally, it showed uploaders how much of their quota they had used. But it no longer does this.
I’m only using the gallery for groups, and only for photos.
I don’t really want to disable all my plugins to find if there’s a conflict.
I double checked that the option to show the message is selected.
Any ideas why it might be no longer showing?
Graham
I just tried enabling user galleries and it does show the message for users.
However it doesn’t show it when uploading to a group album.
The reason I’m asking is, a group admin got a message saying she had exceeded her quota and wanted to know what that meant.
That’s when I realized it doesn’t show for groups.
Hi Graham,
I am sorry for the inconvenience.
I am looking at it. It may be an issue on our part. Will update you later today.Hi Graham,
Checked it. We haven’t put the message for groups and that’s why it is not visible. I am adding an option to make it visible on groups and who can see the message(site admin, group admin, mod or members).
For now, if you want you can put it somewherempp_display_space_usage();
And it will display the remaining space to all members.
Thank you
BrajeshHi Graham,
Thank you.
No, It was not a bug(It’s enhancement), It was a conscious decision in the initial phase as we wanted to add the functionality later with more control on who can see it etc.For now, You may add it to the groups home template( mediapress/templates/mediapress/default/buddypress/groups/home.php).
I am posting the complete home.php in my next post to show the quota to site admin, group admin, group mods but not members.
I am marking the next post as private to avoid this change from getting copied in future(It will be part of next release).
Thank you
Brajesh
