Hi Brajesh, I have two future requests for the Xprofile fields checkbox acceptance field.

First the option for only showing this field on the register page, secondly to have an option for linking to pages you are accepting, like the privacy policy page and the general conditions.

    Thanks in advance

    Regards
    Carsten

    Hi Carsten,
    Thank you for the suggestion.

    1. can you help me understand the first point “Option for only showing this field on the register page”. Do you mean hiding on profile edit/view?

    2. You can already link to any url. The box allows any custom html.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Also,
If you are looking for the above case, you may not need this.

BuddyPress provides TOS field and link to site tos out of the box(if your theme supports it).

Hi Brajesh, thanks for your reply, yes that’s what I meant, hiding acceptance acceptance checkbox on edit profile edit.

    2. Thanks, I will have a look at this custom link option again.

‘BuddyPress provides TOS field and link to site tos out of the box(if your theme supports it).’

I remember this field, but it is not there anymore, and wondered were it had gone. I have been looking for a solution to this, if it is provided by BuddyPress, I will investigate, why it is not showing, it could be an css issue.

    Regards
    Carsten

I disabled my css, but the TOS field did not show. Could it be a conflict with the code from BuddyPress Better Registration?

    Regards
    Carsten

    Hi Carsten,
Theme needs to support that feature. Most probably your theme does not support it.

It need specific update to register.php(unless your registration page is falling back to template packs).

    Regards
    Brajesh
