Hello,
I was wondering if you can create a plugin that can enable admins to restrict page access by member types. Maybe by adding a setting option in the admin post editor to restrict pages access to only selected member types.
This plugin would work effectively with the If menu plugin which now has support to restrict menu access to member types. https://wordpress.org/plugins/if-menu/
It would be pointless to restrict menu access by member type if the page can still be accessed directly through url or google search.
Thanks
If a user who does not have member type access should try to access a member type restricted page, that user should either be shown a custom error message or be redirected to another page added in the member type setting.
I think the redirection approach would be better.
What are your thoughts
thanks
Hi Tosin,
Thank you for the suggestion.I do like it. At the moment, we don’t have sufficient time available due to previously planned releases.
I will add it to our future list and will hope to coincide it with BuddyPress 7.0 release.
Thank you
