Tagged: shortcode for profile photo
Hi,
Thank you for the question.
I am sorry, we don’t have any shortcode for it.Do you want to show the profile photo using shortcode somewhere in the content?
Regards
BrajeshYes but I want it to be the author of a post to display both display name and profile photo.
I am doing it now with Publish Press author plugin, but the shortcode doesn’t have a profile photo parameter that I see.So, I’m realizing that in the BuddyPress universe, I don’t know how it would work. I have a template, so the shortcode I have which displays the display name based on the author of that particular post (based on the template).
Is there anything like that in the BuddyPress ecosystem?
Hi,
Thank you for the reply.
It is not difficult. We will add it to our xprofile shortcode plugin and will let you know within next 24 hours.Regards
BrajeshHi,
When you are using BuddyPress, they are considered same as BuddyPress filters on default WordPress avatar.Regards
BrajeshHello La,
Please download the plugin “BP Shortcodes” from the following URL:
https://github.com/buddydev/bp-shortcodes/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
Install and activate it and use the shortcode like follows:
For the profile photo replace user_id with yours or use username for displaying the photo [bpsc-profile-photo user_id=1]
and for displayed user name use
For display name. Replace user_id with yours also you can use [render_user_display_name user_id=1]
Regards
Ravi
