Uploading images is soooooo slow. Why is it not automatic like in Twitter or Facebook?
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for the question. The speed depends on your server as well as the connection speed of the uploader.
MediaPress currently show the preview only after upload is complete and that’s why it may look a bit delayed. We are working on a new upload experience where we show the preview instantly(like facebook or twitter) using javascript and then we start uploading.
Uploading is still automatic.

BrajeshHi, do you have a date now for the new iteration of MediaPress?

BrajeshHi Lisa,
Hope you are doing well.I am sorry, the updating is taking time. we will be needing another 3-4 weeks before the release of this plugin.
We are changing the internal data model for the plugin and it is not yet ready for the use. Sorry to keep you waiting for this feature.
Regards
BrajeshAlright, very frustrated because I’d like to launch my site, but the media part, the most important part is subpar.
So the deadline has passed. Have you updated this plugin yet?
Hi Lisa,
I am sorry, we haven’t released the plugin. The plugin will be available very soon(probably mid next week or early). We had to change the whole upload experience to accommodate comment attachment and It is still a work in progress as we rewrote the whole javascript part for the MediaPress. I am expecting it to have complete by this weekend and then spend 3-4 days next week testing with various themes/browsers before finally pushing it.
Also, we had to drop the internal data model change(it won’t have any effect on UI), we will have it in 2.0 . That change will allow us to have uploads without any gallery.
Regards
Brajesh
