    I am trying to use the MediaPress plugin. I put the uploader in a page using the shortcode. I keep getting this: “This file type is not allowed. Please try another.” What am I doing wrong? I am testing on a local site with very few plugins installed.

    Hi Ray,
    Welcome to BuddyDev.

    1. Please make sure that the media types are enabled for the component you are using in the shortcode(If you are not using any component, It is BuddyPress Members).

    2. If that is enabled, Please make sure that the extensions are specific for each type in the MediaPress->settings->general.

    That should fix it.
