I’ve reverted back to BP 2.7.4 due to an issue with https://buddydev.com/plugins/buddypress-multi-network/ and the latest version of BP. With both active, URLs work as long as the trailing slash at the end of a URL in in place, but if users neglect to add it, or if you delete it, a 502 Gateway error appears.
With the latest version of BP (2.8.1) omiting the trailing slash results in the slash being automatically added, but with the Multi-Network plugin active, this behaviour doesn’t occur, and the 502 error appears.
Reverting back to BP 2.7.4 rectifies the issue, but I don’t want to get stuck on an older version of BP to preserve my Multi-Network functionality.
This isn’t only on BP URLS, but seems to affect blog posts and pages as well, so I think it’s different than this error reported here: https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7448
If this is something you are able to reproduce and willing to fix, I’m happy to purchase the support package for this plugin. Please let me know.
Hi Jared,
Thank you for reporting. Please do not buy the support package for the plugin. I will look into it today/tomorrow and will get back to you.
Most probably, It is a BuddyPress issue as multi netrok does not play with routes, it simply changes the tables. I am still going to look and see what change in bp is causing it.
