Hello,
I’m at the end of a setup and other issues appears to bother me :).
So, there is a issue translating group text.
All buddypress is already translated in Italian but I have done some modifications on some texts using Loco.
Website is set in Italian and Loco is correctly set having its files all inside the Loco directory and all the other plugins work correctly with Loco. No changes from wordpress or buddypress updates are possible as they are unabled to update but correctly updated at the moment and, anyway, we want to change the text now, so we could overwrite every kind of past translations, if any.
The translation is correctly indicated in the file of the translation in loco, but on the group page is still indicated “what’s new….” , so the translation (“Posta qui”) is not shown.
As Loco does not display translation but only put the MO file available to the software who shows the strings, where is the problem that produce this issue?
I have searched largely including Budypress.org but i have not found any indication regarding this misterious issue.
Many thanks as always,
Giuseppe
Hi Giuseppe,
Is the translation working on your sitewide activity page or user activity page? or is it happening at all places?
Please let me know and I will assist you

BrajeshHi Giuseppe
Try Searchin for the string
What\'s new in %1$s, %2$s?
in the translation plugin and translate it. This is used in groups.
If it does not work, Please contact theme author.

BrajeshHello,
thanks a lot for your support. I had already translated strings, so the problem has arrived. Theme author sent me a new post-form.php to use to edit words directly and use in child theme. Considering that, for the moment, I just need Italian language it can be a solution, and it works.
Thanks again,
Giuseppe
Hi Giuseppe,
Thank you for the reply and the details.I am not sure what could be causing it if you have already translated it(probably an override in theme).
If the author has sent you a file, Please use it for now and put it in your child theme.
Regards
Brajesh
