User Profile Tabs Creator Pro and removing admin menu items

I am using Buddyboss and User Profile Tabs Creator Pro. When I check the box next to “Should we update the tab label with new label?” it creates a tab in the adminbar as well as the user profile. I have tried to remove it from the adminbar by using the “Adminbar Item ID” setting. The id for the unwanted admin bar profile that was created is: “wp-admin-bar-nav-account-activity”. I have entered “wp-admin-bar-nav-account-activity”, I also tried “nav-account-activity” and I tried “account-activity”.

Is there a way to rename a tab without causing this plugin to add a new adminbar profile tab as well? How can I remove the adminbar instance of this profile tab? What am I doing wrong? It seems the adminbar item ID setting is made for this problem.

    Sincerely,
    Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for using the plugin.

Please enable the slug option from “Screen Options” in the right side top as shown below.
    https://buddydev.com/docs/buddypress-user-profile-tabs-creator-pro/enable-slug-option-profile-tabs-editing/

You will need to put the slug of existing tab there to edit them.

    Regards

We know how to do this and have used the slug tab. Our question is not about that. Currently when we edit the label of an exiting tab it also adds a NEW tab on the admin bar at the top of the screen that only administrators see IN ADDITION to the tab it is updating on the user profile. How can we use the plugin to ONLY have a tab edited on the user profile and WITHOUT ALSO adding the changed tab to the admin bar? Please excuse the use of all caps in this message. I don’t see way to underline or bold words in this support forum message so that is the only way I can see to emphasize certain words to ensure clarity.

We tried using the “Adminbar Item ID” in your plugin but that didn’t seem to get rid of the admin bar tab instance either.

    Hi Jeremy,
That is not the expected behaviour at all.

Please allow me to recheck it with the platform to confirm if it is a bug. I will post back in an hour.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Jeremy,
I have checked it and it seems you have a configuration issue.

    Here are my settings

    And here are the results

Can you please recheck the settings. The part you use for admin bar id is the part except “wp-admin-bar” removed from it.
For example wp-admin-bar-my-account-activity becomes my-account-activity for our usage.

If you need assistance configuring the tabs, Please share the details. I can check, update and let you know what was the issue.

    Regards
    Brajesh
