I would like to add a Profile Field of the type Video so that the user can present himself that way. Is that possible?

Hi,
You can use the oembed field if the video is available on other sites.If the goal is to allow uploading video, with some custom code, you can take a look at the files field and extend it(or create a new field type based on it) to handle the video upload and display.
