my overload is on /default/gallery/views/photo.php
I changed it, to add a span with a class. The span did not show. This was after resetting caches
presumably, this is no longer the template part being loaded. - Venutius on June 5, 2025 at 5:34 pm in reply to: How can I best achieve my perfect single photo view? #55469
I’ve checked the options, and my media settings are being saved. I’m wondering if there is a filter changing things?

I reinstalled mpp2 and removed my over-rides, then reset the settings, to show lightbox, comments and description everywhere, and none of those features appear in my galleries.
I don’t think this has ever worked.
I’m now going to retry my over-rides, now I’ve worked out what should do what. Even the image size is wrong. My settings say large, my shortcode says large and I get medium.

I’m not sure what has happened, but reverting to the old version has not fixed it. It is like all of my settings changes are being ignored, and so is my over-ride. Even when I add the over-ride directly to the MPP source file. That class just does not appear, and enabling the lightbox does nothing. My over-ride was of photo.php

I’ve set it to display the description, but nothing is being shown. this may be because I am using the shortcode?

I played with all the settings, no change in behaviour. Presumably, comments are for BP comments only?

Ah, it seems my settings have changed. I will play and see what I can get.
I had the following error in the error log this morning:
PHP Warning
Undefined array key “extensions”
Plugin: MediaPress
File: /wp-content/plugins/Mediapress-2/admin/mpp-settings-manager/core/class-mpp-admin-settings-page.php
Line: 594This will probably be because I loaded the new version of MediaPress for the first time, and it was looking for plugins that that weren’t there?
Also got these errors, but I know the fix for these, and update can wait as far as I’m concerned.
Deprecated Creation of dynamic property MediaPress::$taxonomies is deprecated
wp-content/plugins/Mediapress-2/core/mpp-post-type.php:204

wp-content/plugins/Mediapress-2/core/api/mpp-api.php:86Another workaround, was about lack of captcha/bot check for the media download option. I found a plugin that protects every page on the site with a single universal Cloudflare capcha, so every page with a download is screened, and users do not need to be screened at every point of interaction. That’s the idea.
