i need some advise.
i do service on a website http://www.marryadevotee.com which is meant to help people get married – find a lifepartner.
it was running osdate before – now i moved it to buddypress.
i am using mediapress – and am now try to import all the images from the past – user images are stored in folders with names as profileids.
can you help me do this – i am able to import them to NextGen – because it allows import from server – mediapress allows only computer upload.
another issue is to change the author – even if i manage to put the images up into mediapress. there are about 7000 members – so a bulk move from the server is the only practical way – please advise.

The MediaPress images are just WordPress attachments with an extra field added to identify them as MediaPress images. I am sorry but currently I am a little bit busy with something else, if you can wait for 2 weeks, I will be able to provide an importer for nextgen gallery. In case of MediaPress, post author field is used to set the uploader. If you need any technical help about the data structure, please do let me know.

since i have to import atleast 2000 folders into NextGen first – can you suggest how i can do it with some script.
I can later alter the database in NextGen to change the author in a csv file and then upload again. The first issue is how to Add New Gallery – 2000 plus folders – each as separate galleries – each with userid as the folder name.
