Your update fixed the Blog showing the correct posts, but it still conflicts with BP-Links plugin. When BP-Links is active the Blog Categories menu item does not show up.

When I look at the group blog the url is structured like this:
http://www.mysite.com/groups/(group-category)/blog
Where (group-category) above is replaced by whatever the actual name of the category is.
