How do you get the WP cycle to work on your home page…Is there another widget to add on to this? Please help me…
I don’t see a widget, but you can add the following code

or you can use the shortcode in a text widget. You can see the shortcode on wp cycle plugin page. Here the code you will need to put in your theme’s functions.php to make that shortcode work in a text widget http://bpdev.pastebin.com/LNH8jSg4
