[Resolved] BuddyPress message Privacy – prevent message from going out in the first place?

    BuddyPress Message Privacy plugin –
    Does this plugin prevent a user from sending a message to another user if their setting is to only allow messages from Friends? Basically, I’m trying to figure out if the plugin stops the message after it has been sent or prevents the user from sending it in the first place.

    Question 2 –
    Does it remove the Send Private Message button if users are not friends with a user that has their privacy setting to only let friends message them? I am hoping that the button doesn’t even show so that there is no option for the message to even be started.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the questions.

    1. Yes. It avoids showing the button and if for some reason user try to still send to the other user, It stops there too.

    We also have a better version of this plugin coming next month that allows you further restricitons based on role etc.

    2. Yes.
