Xprofile Custom Field Types: Not showing on frontend

I am using the field “Custom Taxonomy Multiselector”. Under “Select a custom taxonomy:” I chose ‘post_tag’. When I edit my profile this field does not show on the frontend, though what I type is added to Tags in the backend.

I am using this type of field with the exact same settings elsewhere in my profile and it works fine. The only difference I can tell is the field that works is listed under the “Profile” tab (the tab that is part of the BuddyBoss Platform). The field that isn’t showing up is listed under a custom tab I created with “BuddyPress User Profile Tabs Creator Pro”.

    Hi Mark,
Thank you for using our plugins.

Can you please tell me how are you listing the field using the Profile Tabs Creator Pro? That will give us an Idea on what is causing the problem.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Brajesh,

Under the “Profile” tab I have a subnav called “Recent Experiences”. In the “Recent Experiences” subnav I have a field called “Production Title”. In the “Production Title” field I am using the field “Custom Taxonomy Multiselector”. You can see how I have the field set up here: https://crewcall.community/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/no_show_field01.jpg

When I edit my profile on the frontend this is the result. https://crewcall.community/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/no_show_field02.jpg

    Hi Mark,
    Thank you for the reply.

Please share me how are you including it in the custom tab? Are you using shortcode to show the profile field data?

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Brajesh,

I misspoke in my first post. This isn’t in a custom tab. It is located in the default BuddyBoss Profile. It is under a fieldset called “Recent Experiences”.

    Hi Mark,
I am sorry for the delayed reply.

The field is working with BuddyBoss theme and platform. I just tested it.

Please make sure you have some tags available for the user to select and the user have selected tags. Only selected tags appear.

    Hi Brajesh,

As you’ll see in my link, the field is displaying properly for me when I use it in the default BuddyBoss Profile field. (The fieldset labeled ‘Details’) It’s not displaying when I use it in a new field set. (In my case, the fieldset labeled ‘Recent Experiences’)

Could you try using the field in a new fieldset and see if it works for you?

    Hi Mark,
    That’s strange.

It is working fine for me in 2nd group too.

Can you please tell me which user role you are using for testing?

    Hi Brajesh,

I apologize for the delay. I am trying it using my Admin user.

I just tested it on a Subscriber and it did not work for that user either.
