    Dear BuddyPress team,

I signed in for your BuddyPress User Profile Tabs Creator Pro
plugin. Main goal was to have additional tabs to exceed User Profiles. But I guess it’s not the right tool for my purpose. Can you tell me how to add tabs which exceed a User Profile. I created several profile field sets and tied them to specific members. Those sets which have multiple fields inside should all be shown as individual tab either as tabs within User Profile or as additional tabs besides Profile tab.
I hope you can help out with this it’s somehow a blocker for me.

    Best regards

    Natalie

    Hi Natalie,
Thank you for purchasing from us.

    1. With this plugin, you can add the tab and sub tab to a user profile. What is shown inside that tab is upto you. this plugin does not provide anything specific for that.

You will need some way to fetch the profile data and show inside the tab.

We have a plugin for displaying that.
    https://github.com/buddydev/bp-shortcodes

After installing and activating that plugin( you can download a zip file from here https://github.com/buddydev/bp-shortcodes/archive/refs/heads/master.zip).

You can use this inside the tab content to show the fields of a profile group.

    [bp-shortcodes-profile group_id=1]

Please change the group_id with the actual profile group id.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hey Brajesh,

thanks for your help. Where can I find the actual group id or give each product field set a specific group id?

    Thanks again,

    Natalie

    Hi Natalie,

    You are welcome.

Please visit the xprofile screen(if using BuddyPress, you can visit by navigating to Dashboard->Users->Profile Fields).
There you will find the list of Profile field groups that you have created. Click on edit and you will see the group id as shown below.

    Hope that helps.

    Hey Brajesh

Sorry for asking once again, I found the group id, but I can only see a grey empty field within profile subtab. I used the shortcode from above [bp-shortcodes-profile group_id=1] and just replaced the id.
Sure this is the right shortcode?

    Kind regards

    Natalie

    Hi Natalie,

Is there any chance that the profile that you are viewing does not have any data(has empty fields) for that profile field group?

If not, Please link me to a screenshot showing the user’s edit profile page(for that group) and the custom tab.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hey Brajesh,

the profile has a group id for field set and several field id for single fields within group.
So the group consists of field id’s.
    Shouldn’t cause a problem, right?

    Kind regards

    Natalie

    Hi Natalie,
    Thank you.

That is field id no group id. A group is collection of fields. Please use the group id.
Just noticed that you are using BuddyBoss. In that case, the profile gorup id is same as the “Field Set” id.

    Regards
    Brajesh
