Notify all users of new activity stream post-update

    I would like to notify all users if
    someone posts an update on the main activity stream

    I came across this similar pluging https://buddydev.com/introducing-bp-group-activities-notifier-plugin-for-buddypress/
    But it is only for groups i guess

    Is there a way for only sitewide activity post updates?

    Hi,
    Thank you for the question.

    I am afraid, there is no simple solution for that. The time to process this kind of notification will linearly grow with the size of the community. Any scalable solution will need to take that in account and use some kind of queue to create notifications.

    That’s why, we haven’t posted anything like this.
