Hi,
We’re experiencing an issue with BuddyPress Moderation Tools.
When trying to report something (for example, a user), the process goes as expected at first: we enter a title, add content, select one of our predefined categories, and then click “Report”.
However, instead of submitting, we receive the following error message:
“There was a problem. Please try again later.”
This happens consistently and prevents any reports from being submitted.
I’ve checked the logs but can’t find anything helpful — there’s nothing in the Apache error.log, and enabling debugging in WordPress doesn’t produce any relevant output either.
Has anyone encountered this issue before, or can you point us in the right direction for troubleshooting?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
Thank you for reporting the issue. I am sorry for the experience.1.
There was a problem. Please try again later:- The issue happen if the report could not be saved in to the database. Can you please provide me temporary access as a reporter to allow me see what the response(ajax response is). That will help greatly with the troubleshooting.
2.
Can not be reported– There are multiple reasons for it, the most probable reason is the author of the entity being reporter is a whitelisted user. Please check whitelisted user settings in the moderation plugin.Regards
BrajeshThank you.
Yes, Please use the private reply.Regards
BrajeshIf a normal user (participant or contributer) tries to report another user, the user get this error. You can try for example to report “Test funktionstest” user. If you need you can “sudo” to this user and test as a user with normal privs.
I have now created a post on the frontpage which you can report.
Thank you.
I was able to re-create the issue. The problem is with report saving.may I Install Query Monitor plugin temporarily to test what is causing this. It is some database query failing.
Regards
Brajesh
