[Resolved] Recent Visitor for BuddyPress Profile – styling issues

    Hi Brajesh!

    I’m testing your ‘Recent Visitor for BuddyPress Profile’ plugin and found some styling issues. Please check:

    2. Own profile view of logged in admin https://www.screencast.com/t/72DGMaDQ or logged in user https://www.screencast.com/t/hHUv2U3J seem to be ugly; but visiting another profile seems to be ok https://www.screencast.com/t/0sfWO6LUs

    Hi Thorsten,
    Please check on the site. I have fixed the layout there.

    There is one small issue though. When on the profile and the page is loading, the visitor avatar looks bigger. I have added css to make it small still the theme css loads early and causes the flicker( The theme has any image inside header set to 100%).

    if you can add the snippet

    

.recent-visitors img.avatar {
max-width: 32px !important;
}

    That will remove the flickering too.

    Please do let me know if the changes I made are working for you or not?

    Hi Brajesh!
    First of all thank you. If I am right you modified the files ‘visitor-actions.php’ and ‘visitors-hooks.php’ of your plugin?

    Questions:
    a) If so, what happens if you update your plugin? Do I have to correct any code of these files?
    b) You write the visitor avatars look bigger than 32×32. I cannot follow that, see screenshot https://www.screencast.com/t/PbGvFM5hcr

    Or do you have entered the snippet code somewhere? For now your plugin works as it should, see https://www.screencast.com/t/hqt0RPQEhY7Z too.

    Or is there a page where the flickering appears?

    Hi Thorsten,

    a)Those changes will be part of the next update of the plugin. So no need to change anything.
    b) For me, the visitor avatar was appearing large and then shrinking to the correct size. It may be some issue on my part. I am glad if that is fixed.

    I added the css to the Additional CSs section in the customizer.
