[Resolved] author archive doesnt work

    i was trying to use this:
    https://buddydev.com/redirect-wordpress-author-archive-buddypress-profile/
    (pasted first code into functions.php)
    but it doesnt work for me …

    in fact,
    even without that code,
    the author archive page doesn’t work.
    the url behind the author box is:
    my-domain/blog/author/name/
    this should display the posts of this author?
    Instead of this, it just redirect to the homepage

    I refreshed the permalinks, didn’t help

    i am using buddyboss and elementor.

    please any idea?

    Hi,
    Thank you for the question.
    have you tried reaching out to BuddyBoss? The code is for BuddyPress and they claim to be compatible with it , so please reach out to them and see if they have some changes.

    it was a Yoast issue. if anyone encouter same issue:
    go to Yoast >> settings >> advance >> enable author archives
    for some reason they disable it by default.
