Does the Auto join group plugin work with the BuddyBoss theme?
Ive downloaded it and tested but it only adds users to 2 out of 14 of the groups.
I cant see why/how it wouldn’t add them to others as ive kept them conditions them same format.. https://prnt.sc/xpkkpphappy to provide you wp-admin creds to staging site to see if you can find out why not working
Hello Luke,
Sorry for inconvenience. I have tested it on my server with firstname field and start-with operator and it is working for me. Please let how are you trying auto joining i.e. Using “Syncronise Existing User” or “on user activate” account. Also, What type of field Interest is like text, textarea etc.

Ravihi ravi
im using on “account activation ” and “profile update”
please note i also do have this plugin active – but assuming this is not causing an issue running both together? https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-auto-activate-auto-login/
i think they are just text value in a check box setting when i create under Profile Field
https://prnt.sc/xq1iptwhen i click on it in the Conditions -Interests are showing up as a Xprofile field.
ive tried that, but it only works on a few/some
and i cant see why.. everything is identical in configuration.. all set as exact value with equalto …i think it could be because we have a tick box selection..it works on drop down but on tick box i think it is only auto joining the top item on the list? can you change code to include tick boxes so if multiple check boxes are selected it joins all those groups selected?
Hello Luke,
Thank you for sharing the details. With multi select fields ‘=’ and ‘!=’ operators are not supported. Regarding the problem it seems BuddyPress store ‘&’ as ‘&’ in database. So I have tried value as ‘Sports & Entertainment’ with in operator and successfully group is adding to the related members. Please have a look
