    Hello!
    I’m in planning stage for creating a social network of sort and at the moment looking for plugins for what I have in mind and also for new ideas. I landed on buddydev, and I’m glad I did so! Been downloading four of them already which I will try out the next few day, so thanks for that!

    I wonder though if it’s possible to have a user be able to create a group under a set of categories/types, which different group templates depending on which type. A different set of pages/tabs/group icons and such.

    I’ve tried searching around the web but getting no results.

    EDIT: What I would like to do is change group template depending on ID/category. I read the update notes on BP 2.4 release and it sounds there’s more option modifying the group designs?

    Thank you for posting.
    1. Yes, You can customize the group home page in quiet many ways. Here is the template hierarchy for front page

    You can create a front.php and then load other template from it based on the category or other attributes.

    Please take a look at the template hierarchy and you will see that it does allows changing base on id. For applying new template based on category, creating a front.php and doing template loading there will suffice.
