[Resolved] BuddyBlog Pro – permalinks

    Hi Brajesh

    I currently have things set up so that personal posts appear in the main blog, whereas group posts only appear in the group in which they are posted.

    Group settings are as follows –

    Hide post from site archives – Yes
    Should tab Post lists show only the Posts created by BuddyBlog Groups(front end)? – Yes
    Make single Post viewable on group? – Yes

    This all works fine, and where shown, links to the posts appear and/or redirect as they should eg. http://localhost/mysite/groups/testgroup/news/view/3091/… HOWEVER…

    I have noticed that the same (group) post can also still be viewed at eg. http://localhost/mysite/blog/group-post-title/

    … obviously, a user would have to guess at this link to reach a post this way, but if it exists at all then presumably Google could find it too.

    Am I missing something? Or worrying unnecessarily?

    Hi Nik,

    Thank you for the details.
    We have missed to add a permanent redirect as the second url should redirect to group post or do a 404.
    I will update the plugin in next couple of days.
