    Hi team,

We just bought BuddyBlog Pro a few days ago, and the main goal was to let the logged-in user (in our BuddyBoss website) go to his/her profile and do front-end blogging, including being able to select for each post its Post Visibility directly from the front-end (similar to BuddyBoss’s Activity Feed post visibility feature).

The thing is, we’re not sure how to accomplish this with BuddyBlog Pro…

We’re actually facing two issues right now:
    1) The posts are always being published as Public, even though we’ve set default post visibility to Private.
    2) We don’t see any front-end UI for selecting post visibility from the front-end.

Could you please give us specific instructions on how to accomplish this?
Do we need another plugin for that? Or can we add some PHP snippets to child theme’s functions.php?
Is the fact that we’re not using custom post types here related in any way?
Any written tutorial or video would be great…

This feature is really needed, so we really hope to hear from you as quickly as possible.

    Regards,
    Tamar

    Hi Tamar,
Thank you for purchasing from us.

I am sorry for the visibility issue. It is not fully implemented and was mistakenly enabled in the plugin settings page.

If this feature is important, we will implement it in the plugin(we planned to drop as it should not have gone into production). We will need around 2 weeks to have it in the plugin.

    Regards
    Brajesh

Thank you, Brajesh, for your quick reply. (:

Yes, this feature is super important, and it would be so great if you could indeed add it to the plugin in around 2 weeks. We really appreciate it.

    Regards,
    Tamar

    Hi Brajesh (:

It’s been more than two weeks now, and I didn’t see a new fix for above issues like you’ve said…
Are you going to release the fix soon?
We are still waiting for it, and I’ve seen other users are too…

    Kind regards,
    Tamar

    Hope you are doing well.

    I sincerely appreciate your patience.
I am sorry, we haven’t been able to get it functional this week. I will need till day end Tuesday to spend a little more time on it.

I am very sorry for another delay of 2 more days.

    Hi Tamar,
    Thank you.

I have added experimental support for post visibility.

Please upgrade to 1.4.1 and enable it. Let me know if you face any issue.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Brajesh,

I’ve just updated BuddyBlog Pro to its latest version (1.4.2) and tested.
When a logged in user publishes a private post, he/she can see it in the Blog page, but when a non-logged in user goes to the Blog page and refreshes it – the private post above is not showing up… So it’s indeed the expected result.

Thank you for all your help. I appreciate it. (:

    Kind regards,
    Tamar
