    Hi,

I am using the latest version of BuddyBoss Platform, ByddyBoss Theme and BuddyBlog Pro v1.3.0.

When a registered user with Subscriber Role is trying to upload an image it gets the message “There was an error loading. Please try again later.”
However any user with the Administrator Role can upload images just fine.

I am suspecting that in could be related to the Permissions, but I did not make any change to any folders.
Can you point me to the right direction in order to fix this issue?

    Thank you
    Cristi

    Hi,

I found this message in the Health Check & Troubleshooting Plugin
Perhaps it could help you to figure out what is wrong.

The REST API is a way for WordPress and other applications to communicate with the server. For example, the block editor screen relies on the REST API to display and save your articles and pages.

An unexpected result was returned during REST API testing:

    REST API endpoint: https://mysite.com/wp-json/wp/v2/types/post?context=edit
REST API Response: (503) Service Unavailable

    Thank you
    Cristi

    Hi Cristi,
I am sorry for the inconvenience.
is there any chance that the new BuddyBoss release has added access restrictions?
We are not using REST API in the BuddyBlog Pro. It should work fine unless come code is adding restrictions on upload capability.

I will check with their latest version and update you within next 4 hours.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Cristi,
I just tried the latest version of BuddyBlog pro with BuddyBoss Platform 2.3.70
The uploads are working fine for me for normal users.

Is there any possibility that you have applied some restrictions on users recently using some code/plugin.

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi,
I have not applied any restrictions on users recently using some code/plugin.
The BuddyBoss is set to Private Website and I have some pages as Public Website Content, this the only restriction.
Perhaps there is something else that cause this error on uploading images
    This is very strange
Thank you for your time on testing this issue
    Cristi

    Hi Cristi,
I am sorry, I tried with private site option too and it is still working.

    1. Are you using the same version of BuddyBoss platform as I have specified above?
    2. Can you please check if there is any error in network panel when a normal user tries to upload?

    Thank you
    Brajesh

    Hi,

1- Until yesterday I was using BuddyBoss Platform 2.3.60.
Today I have updated to BuddyBoss Platform 2.3.80, BuddyBoss Platform Pro 2.3.70, BuddyBoss Theme 2.3.70 and there is the same error on trying to upload images as a Normal / Subscriber user.
2- On the Browser Network Tab there is no error when a normal user tries to upload.

    Thank you
    Cristi
