BuddyPress Member Types Pro and Paid Membership Pro not working

    Hi,

I’m using BuddyPress Member Types Pro and Paid Membership Pro.

I have created some paid subscriptions/levels and when you checkout or cancel the subscription it resets the member type.

It always reverts to the last member type and when you view the user in the back office all the different member types are there.

It shouldn’t change the member type at all, I have deactivated the plugin and it stopped doing that but caused other issues for the site.

I need BuddyPress Member Types Pro and hope that you can fix the bug.

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,
    Thank you for the question.

Member Types pro has no code to update member type when the membership is cancelled/approved etc. Resetting member type on level change is handled by Pmpro BuddyPress plugin.

Also, if a member type is present in the backend, it means it has not changed. May be the UI you are using shows only one member type on the front end?

    Regards
    Brajesh

    Hi Brajesh,

It must be a bug as if I deactivate your plugin and change the Subscription level it doesn’t change anything.

When I activate it again and change the level it changes the member type to the last one.

It changes it in the back end as well as the front end.

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,
    Thank you for the reply.

Do you have a staging site where we can check and reproduce it?
If yes, Please provide us access to it and steps to reproduce it. That will help us locate the issue and help you with a solution.

    Thank you

    Hi Brajseh,

I did some further digging and found out that it looks like it’s the PMPro BuddyPress & BuddyBoss plugin.

I have asked them to look into and hopefully they can fix it.

    Thanks,
    Alex
