Hi Brajesh,
Did you see my private reply with access details to my staging site?Kind regards,
IainHi Brajesh,
I deactivated iThemes and the submit button is working. My client needs specific questions on the register page so it’s difficult to cut that down. However the form should still submit and the account be auto-activated and direct to profile?
Many thanks,
IainHi Iain,
Please try the auto activation now. The security plugin was blocking login after registration.let me know if they get redirected to profile(I am still not sure what was causing redirect to edit profile though).

BrajeshHi Brajesh,
I see your test account, it shows in manage signups, where were you directed to?I’ve just done a test and I still get directed to mystaging01/register/profile/edit/group/ which leads to 404 error.
Regards,
IainHi Iain,
Thank you for the reply. When I had registered, The activation did not work due to the security plugin.
Are you using any custom code in your bp-custom.php or theme’s functions.php for redirection? I don’t see any outlier on the site.
You may try disabling 3 plugins(BP restrict, PMPro and Membership Restrictions one by one and test. if that does not work, you may temporarily want to change theme and try.
Before you do any of the above, Please make sure you disable the code in bp-custom.php and test to avoid spending time. The bp-custom.php is not visible from the WP dashboard interface, so I was not able to find out if it was present on your site or not.

BrajeshHi Brajesh,
Thanks for coming back.I’ve tried deactivating all plugins apart from Buddypress itself and the Auto Activate plugin and still the registration process fails. I’ve even used default WP theme and same result. I’m really at a loss as to know what is causing behaviour. There is nothing in bp-custom.php i even deleted the file. When i deactivate all plugins apart from the 2 mentioned above the registration process doesn’t even complete, how can that be?
Kind regards,
IainHi Iain,
On the staging site I just changed your theme to TwentyTwenty and deactivated BuddyForms plugin and the registration/activation is working.
My guess is either one of these 2 were causing the issue.I have left it with the current modified settings for you to test. Please take a look.
Regards
BrajeshHi Brajesh, thanks for this, I can see your activated account. So I checked with my theme, and it still works, and again with BuddyForms… so i need to continue to activate plugins 1 by 1 to find the culprit.
Kind regards,
Iain
