[Resolved] BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types email showing html

    I recently added the BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Field Types to the Aardvark theme and inserted an email profile field. Then I added an email address (eg x@y.z) at the profile edit page. When I saved it, the page showed the base html rather than the email address eg <a href="mailto:fabimail@bizzi.life" rel="nofollow">fabimail@bizzi.life</a>

    Sorry, I did not realise that some of the field types will open other apps eg Phone type will open phone dialer and so I SHOULD NOT use the Autolink option in the profile field!! Silly me!!
