[Resolved] cannot upload documents with .doc .pdf extensions

    Hello team,

    I have just installed Mediapress extension and I am not able to upload documents with .doc .pdf extensions
    with error message “this file type is not supported”.
    I tried with several documents but I get same error.
    I have WordPress 5.0.3 version.

    Hi Slimane,
    Welcome to BuddyDev.

    Is there a chance that you are on Multisite? If yes, Please visit Network admin->Settings and make sure to add these types in allowed file type. After that upload will work.

    Thank you for your reply.

    I don’t have a multisite and I don’t have Network admin->Settings option on MediaPress extension.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled MediaPress extension but I still get the same error message.

    Hi Slimane,
    since you are not on multisite, Please ignore the last message.

    Can you please visit MediaPress->settings->General and check the allowed file types for docs( and if doc is enabled).

    Also, are you able to upload a doc/pdf file using Dashboard->Media->Add New(standard WordPress)?

    I don’t know what happened but I can now upload documents with MediaPress.
