    Hi,

I’ve set up the plugin and added new tabs successfully. Everything works perfectly but I can’t re-order the existing tabs.

I’ve tried adding an order number to every tab, new or existing, but it just ignores anything assigned to the existing ones.

    Hello Dan,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Are you using tabs slug while modifying existing tab?. I have tried it and it is working for me.

    Please take a look here:
    https://buddydev.com/docs/buddypress-group-tabs-creator-pro/modifying-label-repositioning-existing-group-tab/

    Regards
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,

I am, yes. It works in that I can override the tab name in every case, so it’s definitely identifying the tabs, it just won’t change the position of any of the standard ones.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi Ravi,

    Sorry for the delay.

Yes, the order ID is #36762 – it’s in the name of my colleague Chris Smith.

    We’re using BuddyBoss.

I’ve attached screenshots showing the tab nav and 2 of the settings page. For reference, I’ve assigned order numnbers of 1-8 for the 8 tabs, with 1 and 2 being new tabs that show correctly at the top, and the rest trying to re-order below them. The two I’ve attached both have name changes which are showing.

    Thanks

    Hello Dan,

Thank you for sharing the screenshots. As per the screenshot you are missinng one step i.e. slug which is sometime not visible. Try enable it firstly.

You can refer the following link:
    https://buddydev.com/docs/buddypress-group-tabs-creator-pro/enable-slug-option-for-the-group-tab-editing/

    then follow the steps from:
    https://buddydev.com/docs/buddypress-group-tabs-creator-pro/modifying-label-repositioning-existing-group-tab/

Please give it a shot and let me know.

    Regards
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,

Well, you are right in that I didn’t see that hidden slug field, yes!

But.. I still can’t get it to move. I’m not sure what I should be putting in the new Slug field, but I’ve tried everything I can think of..

    Nearly there hopefully 🙂

    Hi Dan,
I am sorry, our team missed to assist you with it.
Are you still facing the issue?

Try adding a value for the position(lower value means earlier). Let me know if that works. Or, Please provide me temporary access to the staging site(if available) and I can configure you and post how to do the reordering.

    Thank you
    Brajesh
