Clarification of the Recent Visitors Recording Policy settings

    Hi there, I need some clarification of the Recent Visitors Recording Policy settings, especially how the Mutual setting is working.

    Recording Policy
    Mutual: Only record when Both the visiting and visitors settings are on.

    How should this setting be understood, its not an incognito function?

    Hi Carsten,
    If you enable “Mutual” policy an user 1 visits user 2, the visit will only be recorded if user 1 has enabled recording as well as user 2. In all other cases, It won’t be recorded.

    Hi Brajesh, thanks for the clarification, I guess it is logic when you write it this way. So in short, if you have to receive visits your own visits has to be displayed to those users as well.

    My license for recent visitors is not active at the moment, because I still have issues with discrepancy between the visit counts and the actual visits, the just don’t match.

    Is this something I could ask you to investigate, have you had other users reporting this issue?

    Hi Carsten,
    Thank you for the reply.

    That policy is only applicable if admin sets ‘mutual’ recording.
    I am sorry, I was down for a week with fever and other heal issues and could not reply to much of the posts.

    I haven’t seen the visitor count issue recently(It was there heaping earlier because of double hook).

    I will ask my team to take a note and investigate.
