Hi Brajesh,
I did add the widget to the sidebar of the subsite.
I am on WP 4.9.1 with multisite enabled.Hi Hugo,
Thank you for the prompt response.
Can you please check if you are logged in as super admin or you are already a member of the sub site? Here is what I see
https://i.imgur.com/TSMRLHq.pngWhen I am logged in as a normal user who is not part of the sub site.
I just found out that it was a theme problem; after moving the widget to another widget area it worked. Sorry for bothering you!
But apart from that I have another question/feature request: if a non-network member visits the site the widget doesn’t appear. It would be nice if, in that case, the widget would display a network registration link or form and then redirect to the subsite.
Does that make sense?
Hi Hugo,
Thank you. I am glad it is working. It’s a good suggestion, I will be happy to add the link. Please allow me to update the plugin by tomorrow.
Regards
BrajeshHere is the updated join blog widget plugin that allows showing the signup link for visitors.

You may want to delete the widget from widget are and add it again(It will automatically pick the signup url in that case).

BrajeshHi Hugo,
Can you please check if the update fits your need?Regards
BrajeshHi Brajesh,
Thank you so much!
I just tested the plugin and it works fine: when, on a subsite, I click the Signup link as a non registered user it nicely redirects to the network registration page.
If I understand well the next step for the freshly registered user would be to get back to the subsite and click “Join this blog”.
Would it also be possible that, when a user clicks the Signup link on a subsite and then registers on the network, he/she would be automatically subscribed to the subsite as well, not just the network?
That would make the process even more user friendly.
