[Resolved] Do we still need to use your group notifications plugin?

    Hi,

    I just came across your BP group notifications plugin:

    Does BP now do this as part of core or we still need this plugin to notify users on site?

    Hi Dale,
    Thank you for asking.

    It depends on your need. BuddyPress allows you to notify changes in group to all members but it does not allow you to notify users on new group activities.

    If you need to notify users on all group activity, you will need this plugin. Otherwise, you won’t.

    Sorry for confusion on my behalf but I don’t understand the distinction.

    I do want all members of each group to be notified of all activity in a group so I think that means I need the plugin.

    I’m just not clear what BP does by default.

    Hi Dale,
    yes, you will need this plugin in that case.

    BuddyPress does not do it on their own. BuddyPress only allows you to notify all members if you update group title/description etc.
