Howdy
New customer here, excited to be using Member Types.
I am literally stuck on step one. I have installed it, on a Buddypress multi-site, so I am started here:
However when I go to Dashboard->Network Admin->Settings->Member Types
I do not see the options that the help guide shows. Mine just says ‘Add user to the site on registration Yes/No’. Nothing else.
What am I missing?
Cheers, Neil.
Hi Neil,
Thank you for joining BuddyDev and my apologies for the inconvenience. It seems that you might not have created new member types yet. Please Visit your Main Site->User->Member Types and add member types.
Once the member types are registered, they will appear here and allow you to map the behaviour.
I will add a notice in future release to make it easy.
Please let me know if that works for you.
Thank you
BrajeshOk, next problem, when I go to Main Site > User, I don’t see an option for Member Types.
Hi Neil,
Is there any specific setting on your multisite.,The plugin will consider your primary blog as main site. The Primary blog can be specified in a number of ways in wp-config.php.
Can you tell me if there is any specific setting for that. Also, Please make sure the plugin is network active.
Also, Can you please tell me a little more about the install.
1. Is BuddyPress Network active?
2. Is BP Multi Blog mode enabled?
3. Are you using any Multi Network plugin?
4. Is theThank you
BrajeshHi
Yes Buddypress is network active, I’m not using any other multi-network plugin except core WordPress multi-site.
I don’t know what you mean by ‘BP Multi Blog mode’.
Also I think I have found it. When I go to the main site (digitalscot.net), not the Network Admin, and go to Users, then I see and can add Member Types.
Now when I go to Network Admin > Settings > Member Types, I see the correct options 🙂
Thank you.
No problem with multiblog, It allows a special type of BuddyPress installation.I am glad that it is working now now:)
