[Resolved] Error on autocomplete mention on private message – Community Builder Pro theme

    Hello,

    I am using the Community Builder Pro v.2.0.7 with Community Builder Pro Child v.2.0.1.
    The BuddyPress version is 5.1.2 and WordPress 5.4.1.

    Below is the link of the javascript error I get when I navigating to the messages Page tab on the profile of the member theme “http://mydomain/members/username/messages/”.

    link: http://mydomain/wp-content/themes/community-builder-pro/assets/js/buddypress/buddypress.js?ver=5.1.2

    The error is “buddypress.js?ver=5.1.2:3038 Uncaught TypeError: $input.bp_mentions is not a function”

    Could you please assist me?

    Hi Sotiris,
    Thank you for using the theme.

    Is there any chance that you might be using a plugin like BP Better Message or something similar? Is there any plugin that is working with Private message or modifying its behaviour? Please let me know.

    I am also looking at the theme and will update you.

    Hi Sotiris,
    Thank you.

    I can see the issue. It is because BuddyPress Activity is disabled and that means auto suggestion script for @ mentions is not loaded. That is causing it.

    Please allow me to put an update in 1-2 hour to resolve it.

    Please upgrade to 2.0.8
    It fixes the dependency issue causing it.
