Error – Sorry, the upload functionality is disabled temporarily

    I am trying to create a gallery as the author role and it keeps giving me this error. I can do it as an admin.

    Hi Jon,
    Are you using any code/plugin that disables galleries by role?
    Also, Can you please tell me the steps to reproduce it(creating gallery from user profile or dashboard etc).

    Hey Brajesh,

    To my knowledge there is nothing that is disabling gallery by role. I do have User Role Editor, but I have the upload_files checked for authors.

    Steps:

    1. Login in as author
    2. Click on “Add Photo Gallery”
    3. Click on “Select Files”
    4. Choose image, tries to upload then gets error

    are you using MediaPress in combination with BuddyPress or without BuddyPress?

    Please login as author and visit User’s profile on front end. Then try creating a gallery and uploading, does it work?

    I logged in as author, went to the profile on the front end and just see is “There are no galleries available!” with no option to upload anything.

    I am also using Youzer if that helps you.

    Hi Jon,
    I am sorry, we don’t have compatibility with Youzer.

    In normal case, you should see the nav to list galleries, create gallery on your profile. I am not sure why Youzer is removing that for you.

    Please contact them and let me know what they suggest.
