Group Creation by BP Member Type

    As it is now, all users can create groups on a BP site.

    It would be great if there was a plugin that could set minimum required Member Type for Group Creation.

    Other options could be: ‘Pending approval’ for group creation.

    As I understand it BuddyPress does support Member Types but it depends on the theme / plugin used.

    Hi Michael,

    Member type is not a capability. It’s more like category used for classifying users. So, we can not have a minimum member type requirement. But we can make it such that a user with certain member type can only create groups.
