BP has an option to hide the toolbar for not logged in users. But this doesnt work if the user role is changed to anything else than subscriber (not admin role).

How can I make it work that the toolbar is not displayed for other custom roles than subscribers as well? I suppose the bp function which hides the toolbar checks if the current user has the subscriber role.

I know there are plugins to hide the WP toolbar completely but I would prefer to modify just the bp script which hides the bar as long as I am not forced to modify buddypress core files.
