How to inform the users of new BP features?

    Hi,

    After installing a new BuddyPress plugin, it would be nice to inform the users about the additional functionality.

    Is there a way the users could be upadated like for example a pop up window after logging in with a button to get redirected to the new functionality? Or do you know a plugin that offers this gadget?

    I have some BP functions that are cool but the users don’t use because they don’t know they exist and I would like make them know.

    Hi Daniel,
    Thank you for the question and yes, it makes a lot of sense in the community sites.

    I will suggest looking for announcement plugins which are able to show hide announcements based on current user.

    I haven’t looked into it. If you are unable to find one, Please do let me know and we can create one.

    I had a look today at several announcement plugins:

    But none of them offers the functionality for BuddyPress. I think it will be awesome to have a plugin which offers a notification pop up to the BP user after he logs into his account and when he dismisses the notification that the notification will not show up again when logging in next time.

    If you guys will plan to make such a plugin, that will be a nice to have and be terrific 🙂

    We do plan to become the only platform which meets all essential needs for creating successful Communities with BuddyPress & WordPress.

    We are adding it to our features list.
