Welcome to BuddyDev.
It mostly depend on your theme and the instructions will be specific to the theme.
Can you please point me to the theme you are using and does your theme come with BuddyPress compatibility?
Yes, the theme to which i use is buddy press compatible but its paid so am not sure if you would be able to test it from your end.
Although i had asked the support of the theme about this issue they could not provide a good solution.
As i found its not fully compatible with some common plugins to which i discovered after testing on my end.
Thanks for you patience and hope to hear from you.
Although i some some article conserning this issue am still confuse;
The link to the referred theme is: https://themeforest.net/item/socialize-multipurpose-buddypress-theme/12897637
Though the theme is good for me the only issue that i just have is it does not just perform that function on the related first post as earlier.

I am sorry, I won’t be able to help with a premium theme. In general case, ou can change that in member-header.php(yourtheme/buddypress/members/single/member-header.php)
