[Resolved] Make URL for xProfile Field open in a new tab.

    I’m using the Xprofile Custom Field Types and using the Website (HTML5) field and I was wondering if there is a way to make it so the link opens in a new tab? If not this may be a could option for a future update. Might also be cool to have option to make it a Do Not Follow link.

    Thank you for the topic.

    I am sorry but this is not doable currently due to BuddyPress’s autolink behaviour. I have a ticket open for this

    as soon as it gets into the core, we will have more freedom on linking and we can have it in the future version.

    I found a plugin that opens all external links in a new window. This seems to do what I was looking for. Here is the plugin link in case anyone else needs the same thing. https://wordpress.org/plugins/open-in-new-window-plugin/
