    Hi there,
I there a way to make specific folder contents downloaded instead of all the folders for the MediaPress Downloadable Media plugin?

    Thanks

    Mark

    Hi Mark,
    Thank you asking.

We can certainly help you enabling/disabling it per gallery if that helps. We can not enable it per folder though.

MediaPress understands Gallery and media, the folder(used for internal storage) may not have much relevance in the way we treat media.

If you want it for per gallery, please let me know.

    Thank you
    Brajesh

    Hi Brajesh,
I have some documents in folders that i want to be downloaded and some in folders/galleries that i don’t want to be downloaded. I cannot seem to find a way of specifying which folders to allow and disallow. So your saying it cannot be done with your plugin?

    Thanks

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

I might not have been clear in my previous reply.

If you can organize those documents in one or more gallery, we can update the plugin to let you enable/disable the download option per gallery selectively.

Will that solve the issue for you?

    Thank you

    Hi Brajesh,
Yes that would thank you for example

    Documents/Templates downloadable

Documents/Sensitive Not downloaded and can only be viewed online

    If that makes sense

    Thanks

    Mark

    Thank you Mark.
Will update the plugin in next 2 days.

Please do note that a private media is not hidden(Not inaccessible if a user knows the actual file url).

In case a file is highly sensitive, I won’t suggest sharing via MediaPress(Just clarifying). We follow the general social media strategy where file urls are directly accessible if known but the user interface enforces the notion of privacy. This is due to performance reasons.

    Regards
    Brajesh
