Hello,
I have tried changing any settings in Mediapress/settings/general including ‘original’ as size for single media page or lightbox but Mediapress in any case strongly downgrade images when posted them.
How could I fix this issue?
It is extremely urgent.
Many thanks,
Giuseppe
Hi Giuseppe,
Thank you for using MediaPress.MediaPress does not do anything with the quality of images. For the non original sizes, we ask WordPress to resize it for us.
Are you using any optimization plugin that controls quality?
Also, what do you mean by degradation? Is it the image size or the dimension? Please let me know and I will assist.
Regards
BrajeshHello,
I had ad an image compress plugin but I have deactivated.
The image is transformed to a smaller one.
Example file mascherine_in_classe.jpg (resolution 691×963) has become when uploaded mascherine_in_classe-144×200.jpg
Where is the transformation?
Many thanks,
Giuseppe
Hi Giuseppe,
Thank you.1. In your example, you are referring to a resized version of the image.
When an Image is uploaded, there are 3 resized versions of image is created by us for use on cover/thumbnail.
Please use the ‘original’ size for single image and It will use your originally uploaded image (If the dimension is huge, It might be constrained via css in the browser though).

BrajeshHi,
so, for a reason we don’t understand, mediapress create the reduced size images and use one of them (about 130×200) even if set to Original.
Is there something related to Lightbox setting? By the way, I don’t know what it is.
Is there something I can switch off or on in the other Mediapress settings to bypass this issue?
Many thanks,
Giuseppe
hi,
it seems there are some issues with Buddypress 10.3 update with both Mediapress and Rt.
Rt does not resize correctly (and there were no issue before updating) and Mediapress select for stream the smallest generated file that is not viewable decently.
No way to have image correctly inside Buddypress at the moment.
Hi Giuseppe,
Can you please link me to your activity stream.
It seems, I am not looking at the same thing as you.you are probably thinking thumbnail and original as same thing.
Thank you
Brajesh
