Hello,
I recently installed the MediaPress plugin as well as MediaPress Media Moderator on my site.
As a simple member, I cannot upload photos from the activity. I receive an error message:“x This file type is not allowed in current gallery. Only files are allowed!”
Photos are however authorized in the settings

PublishPress Capabilities: 1.9Hi,
Thank you for using MediaPress. From the error, It seems that file type is not saved in MediaPress settings.
Please visit Dashboard->MediaPress->Settings->General
Do you see file type specified for the Photo, audio, video etc? Please make sure it looks like this
https://i.imgur.com/achwFoi.pngIf it is not, Please add the extension
For photo:-
jpeg,jpg,gif,png
For Audio:-
mp4,flv,mpeg
For video:-
mp3,wmv,midi
For doc
zip,gz,doc,pdf,docx,xls
Please let me know if that makes it work.
Regards
BrajeshHi,
The settings are correct in Dashboard-> MediaPress-> Settings-> General.
I see the file type specified for the photo, audio, video and it looks like your image.Hi,
Thank you for checking.I am not sure what could be wrong. Can you please provide me a guest(normal user account) and link to your site. I can quickly test and check what is wrong.
Thank you
BrajeshHi,
Thank you.Can you please visit Dashboard->Galleries and check if some galleries are appearing there?
What I am seeing is once we create a gallery on front end, It is created successfully but is hidden. The only reason for this is some gallery properties are not being set.
Can you please check that.
Also, Can you disable PublishPress Capabilities plugin temporarily to allow me test it again.
Thank you
Brajesh
